SFBC and State of Bavaria Japan Office will have the 4th joint webinar "AI production network - from basic research to industrial applications" on 26th February.
As part of the high-tech agenda Bavaria, an AI production network will be established on the campus of the University of Augsburg. Within this network, collaborative research projects with industry are to be initiated and a technology platform for the successful transfer from basic research to applied research will be created. The technological focus is on aspects of AI for highly modular, material-optimized production. This includes intelligent, resilient, reactive supply chains, generative production methods, material-centered design, material-adaptive production processes and planning as well as integrated material and component testing. Substantial funding of 92Million Euro was provided by the Free State of Bavaria for planning, implementation and operation for investments as well as initiation of initial collaborative research projects.
The establishment of the AI Production Network creates the framework conditions to provide regional players in the economy with access to state-of-the-art production technology and to maintain their competitiveness in global competition. The results developed in the AI Production Network are therefore intended to support regional Bavarian SMEs and large companies in particular.
