Yvonne Lyon - Singer-Songwriter - Live

The ongoing corona pandemic is causing financial shortages for many artists. At the same time, we all miss art and its performances! In these difficult times, we would like to support art and artists alike; at the same time, humbly contributing to intercultural understanding and social responsibility by raising awareness of Japanese and German culture.

DJW provides its platform for the presentation of art in virtual space, and we invite our members to financially support performances by artists of their choice. Details of the artist's fee are subject to the direct agreement of the sponsor with him/her. Please see the details on the procedure explained in our info pool.

About the artist

Yvonne Lyon is among the UK's brightest and best emerging singer/songwriters. Her new album Metanoia is her eighth solo studio release, further demonstrating her ability to deliver engaging original material with fresh imagination. Yvonne consistently combines poignant lyrics with strong, creative melodies demonstrating a voice that can be both fragile and intense. 

Having supported Eddi Reader throughout the UK, performed with Beth Nielsen Chapman and co-written with Boo Hewerdine, Yvonne continues to establish herself as an artist of considerable significance. Yvonne's memorable and emotive performances have drawn and stirred audiences and she has also shared the stage with Patti Griffin, Karine Polwart, Karen Matheson, Luka Bloom, Steve Forbert, IONA and Juliet Turner.  

She has guested on two live sessions with Bob Harris on his BBC Radio 2 show and recently completed a Masters Degree in Songwriting and Performance from the University of the West of Scotland.
