The convergence of hardware, software, and augmented and virtual reality is revolutionising the automotive development process. Join us for an evening of discussion around emerging technologies, a growing importance of human-centered design, and the transformation of OEMs towards digital product companies.
The host of this event will be our new DJW member: Goodpatch, an independent design company, driven by the mission to prove the power of design. The global design firm collaborates with a network of global corporate partners to solve complex problems with a human-centered approach. Their offering includes user research, strategy, UX/UI design and the development of apps and immersive AR/VR experiences. All of this is embedded in a powerful ecosystem that they shape with their partners through organizational design, namely in the creation of in-house design teams and ventures.
Goodpatch was founded in 2011 by Naofumi Tsuchiya after he moved back to Tokyo from Silicon Valley. Today with a highly diverse team of 160 people, across four studios in Tokyo, Berlin, Munich, and Paris, their partners include Renault-Nissan, R+V Versicherung, Mimi Hearing, Deutsche Börse, MUFG, Zenjob, emmy Sharing, and NTT DATA.
Next to client work Goodpatch develops in-house products which include Prott, a prototyping tool for mobile apps, and Athena cARVR, a mixed reality tool for designing and testing experiences around the connected car.
