The Working Group (AG) Intercultural Management: Networking and Feedback met on Thursday, 18 December 2025. Since 2016, Rolf Schlunze has led the AG, highlighting the DJW statute that defines cultural exchange as a core objective of both DJW and the AG. Over the past decade, the AG has organized 30 meetings.

The AG’s vision focuses on constructive intercultural management, bringing together agile members, Japanese–German cultures, and diverse processes to strengthen DJW’s capacity for intercultural collaboration. Lifelong learning and community building remain central to this work, fostering individual and organizational development.

This vision will be further discussed in the Last Lecture on 8 January 2026. DJW members are warmly invited to attend on site at Ritsumeikan University OIC (Colloquium B374) or online.

Born in Wolfsburg, Germany in 1960, Prof. Dr. Rolf Schlunze has been Professor at Ritsumeikan University since 2006. Conducts comparative research on Japanese and European multinational corporations. From the perspective of management geography, explores the role of hybrid managers.
