Japan meets Berlin-Brandenburg Round Four: From Expo to Future. Innovating German–Japanese Business Relations

After three vibrant sessions of JmBB, we’re excited to invite you back for our fourth edition – this time with a very special focus: wrapping up Expo 2025 in Osaka and the story of the German Pavilion.

Under the overarching Expo theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” countries from around the globe showcased their visions for tomorrow. The German Pavilion put the spotlight on circularity and sustainability, highlighting how we can rethink resources, technologies, and collaboration to create resilient, future-proof societies.

Now it’s time to ask ourselves: How can we take these inspirations into the future? How do we continue the conversations, build on the innovations, and translate them into real collaboration between Japan and Berlin-Brandenburg? On the ocassion of this JmBB edition, we are honored to welcome the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) as keynote speaker. BMWE was commissioning the German presence at Expo 2025 in Osaka and is now reflecting on six month of world exhibition, sharing their conclusions and take-aways.

This evening will once again be all about exchange, inspiration, and connection. Join us as we reflect on Expo 2025, share insights on sustainability-driven projects, and explore how we can collectively shape what comes next.

As always, expect an open atmosphere, interactive discussions, and plenty of networking opportunities – the perfect stage for new impulses, cross-cultural ideas, and long-lasting partnerships.
