(Hall 1, 1st floor above Foyer)

Within the past 12 years, DoKomi has evolved into the best-visited and most trending Anime and Japan convention in Germany. Providing a platform for fans of the Japanese pop-culture it has a special focus on the topics anime, manga, cosplay, games, fashion, music.

Even though conventions such as DoKomi have become increasingly popular – rising visitor numbers of up to 55,000 speak for themselves –, its attendee radius seems to remain limited to a core audience. Still, the past years have proven that more and more companies decide to invest in pop culture and the according line of businesses. They realized the potential lying within: pop culture being perceived for what it is – a tremendous business opportunity – is just a matter of time.

DoKomi has been a member of DJW since 2009. With this “Hiru no Kai” of the Japanese-German Business Association (DJW) we aim at making the topic more available and support companies in gaining a low-threshold access to it.
