各位
DJWは遡ること約30年、日本と西洋の先進工業諸国の間で深刻化していた貿易摩擦に対する1つのソリューションとして設立され、それ以来、日独両国の間の自由貿易と経済協力を重視した取り組みを行ってきました。DJW名誉理事長のルプレヒト・フォンドランが寄稿『市場の自由』を通して当時の状況を綴っておりますので、ぜひご覧ください。これらの背景からも、我々は、EUと日本が、先月の包括的な戦略パートナーシップ協定への署名を通して、保護主義に対して明確なシグナルを発したことを、非常に喜ばしく思っております。
日EU経済連携協定がどのような効果をもたらし得るのかについては、本年5月に独日協会連合会（VDJG）会長に選出された、DJW理事フォルカー・シュタンツェル元大使の「Heilbronner Stimme」紙とのインタビュー記事もあわせてご参照ください。なおシュタンツェルのVDJG会長就任に伴い、前会長であるルプレヒト・フォンドランDJW名誉理事長は、VDJG名誉会長に就任しました。
DJW一同、同協定を通して日独両国の間に新たに生まれるだろうダイナミックな動きを楽しみに思うとともに、皆様の今後のビジネスの追い風となるだろうことを願っております。そして、弊協会が今後も様々なレベルにおける日独連携に貢献できることが叶いましたら大変嬉しく存じます。
