Webinar: 16th Japan-Germany Industry Forum

Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) is pleased to invite you to the 16th Japan-Germany Industry Forum (JGIF). The forum promotes the exchange of ideas, innovation and investment between Japan and Germany. In this special year, the organization is making JGIF available as an online event to ensure your ability to participate.  

Germany is a global leader in the development of renewable energies and home to an evolving energy market. Some 50 percent of Germany’s annual electricity demand is already met using renewable energy sources. At the European Union level, the European Green Deal seeks to make Europe climate neutral by 2050 – transforming the continent into a wholly resource-efficient economy.

Germany’s transition to renewable energy offers considerable opportunities for Japanese investors. This year’s JGIF will provide an overview of the chances opening up and explain how GTAI can support your successful expansion into the German market. Leaders involved in Germany’s energy transition will further provide insights into the systems of the future and the lessons learnt to date. We will show how Japan and Germany can learn from each other and find new solutions for a truly integrated international energy system. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to talk to representatives from GTAI, the German federal states and the SINTEG regions.

On November 12th and 13th, a one-to-one meetings take place where you can discuss business opportunites in Germany via video call privately.

The event is carried out with simultaneous interpretation in English and Japanese. Registration is free, but the registration is required.
