Japanese-German Business Talk

Germany and Japan maintain stable trade relations over past decades. Germany being Japan‘s key business partner in Europe, and an important linkage to EU markets, German companies rely on Japanese production of innovative technologies in robotics, life sciences, and mobility.

At the Japanese-German Business Talks, esteemed business leaders are invited to share their expertise to invited guests, interested audiences and ESMT students. The speakers address some of the most thought-provoking elements of leadership, growth, sustainability, digital transformation, and innovation. The events are ideal platforms for raising awareness on politically and economically sensitive global issues. This time, Japanese-German Business Talk will host Mr. Tsutsumi Hideki, Managing Director of Asahi Kasei Europe.

Speaker: Tsutsumi Hideki, Managing Director, Asahi Kasei Europe
Hideki Tsutsumi is Asahi Kasei Executive Officer and Asahi Kasei Europe Managing Director. He started his career at Asahi Kasei in 1983. After working from 1999 until 2006 for Asahi Kasei in Singapore, he took over the role of Head of Sales for TENACTM, Asahi Kasei’s homo- and copolymer polyacetal resin, at Asahi Kasei Performance Polymers Division in Tokyo. He held leading positions at different major divisions for Asahi Kasei Chemicals before he was appointed Asahi Kasei Europe Managing Director in April 2016. Hideki Tsutsumi graduated from the Faculty of Law, Department of Political Science of Keio University, Tokyo.
