What is the IKO Japan Seminar?
The School of Management and Technology (SMT) conducts a semi-annual Intercultural Seminar in Japan (in German: Japan IKO Seminar). This Seminar is done in cooperation with the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) and brings together German and Japanese master‘s students for two weeks. The goal of the students is to solve a real firm problem by taking into consideration business, cultural, regulatory, and marketing aspects, thereby helping firms overcome the cultural and entry barriers experienced in a new venture.
To whom is The IKO Japan Seminar Relevant?
SMT offers selected clients to participate as a case in the IKO Seminar. These firms are either looking into penetrating a foreign market, or looking to gain input on how to improve their business.
Why join?
SMT‘s IKO Japan Seminar offers value in addressing production problems, business aspects, orcultural issues that could help you advance your business abroad or consider other partnerships to solve your current challenges in your market. A possible case could address production optimation, communication problems, and new client acquisition. A case can also evaluate the needs of your firm in the Japanese market. Attending the seminar is free of charge.
