For highly developed industrial countries such as Germany and Japan, micro- and nanotechnology, optoelectronics as well as sensor technology are key technologies for digitalization in industry, mobility or medical technology. The State of Thuringia in Germany is home to an incomparable density of companies in microelectronics, optoelectronics, optics, measurement and control technology, and sensor technology. The state has not only technical but also a huge market potential. 280 million potential customers are living within a radius of 800 km and the regions accounts for 70% Europe ‘s GDP.

On the occasion of a mission to Japan of the OptoNet and SensorikNet clusters, LEG Thüringen and GTAI invite relevant Japanese companies and research institues to a networking event for information exchange and individual B2B meetings on current innovations and cooperation opportunities.
