Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) launched the “German-Japanese Innovation Initiatives 160” a new window will open. in 2021 to mark the 160th anniversary of Japan-Germany relations, in order to create innovations aimed at resolving global issues such as climate change, declining birthrate and aging population, infectious diseases including COVID-19, SDGs, and food issues. And this year, as a follow-up, exchange networking programs between German and Japanese companies have been held in various parts of Germany.

At the same time, JETRO and GTAI called for exemplary successful cases to promote the creation of new successful stories of German and Japanese innovations.
