Speaker

We are honored to announce that Mr. Yoichi SUZUKI, Ambassador for International Economic Affairs at the Japanese Ministry of foreign Affairs, kindly offered to talk about the recently concluded Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between Japan and the European Union. Mr. Suzuki previously served as Ambassador of Japan to France (2013-2016) and Ambassador for Kansai (2016-2017). As an experienced expert in international trade agreements, in early 2017 he became Japans chief negotiator for the Economic Partnership Agreement which was subsequently finalized on December 8 last year. One of the biggest trade agreements worldwide, the EPA will cover about 30% of world GDP and 40% of global trade. It is expected to boost European exports to Japan by as much as €20 billion. We are very much looking forward to hearing Ambassador Suzuki’s insight information on the negotiation process and the resulting benefits for German and Japanese companies. 

After the presentation we will have a buffet reception with plenty of networking time.
