Japamburg Dialogue: Hamburg x Osaka Nr. 2

Japamburg is a non-profit German-Japanese network founded in 2021 and based in Hamburg. The community aims at linking business representatives in Hamburg, Germany and Japan even more closely via regular event formats covering innovation topics of German-Japanese interest. Since 2023, Japamburg is organized within DJW as working group creating deepening synergies between our two organizations.

Hamburg and Osaka celebrate the 35^th anniversary of their sister city partnership and the 5^th anniversary of their business city partnership this year. Both cities form major startup ecosystems in their countries, in which new and innovative solutions to pressing ecological and societal challenges are created and brought to market-readiness. Likewise, Innovation topics feature heavily in the themes of the Expo 2025 in Osaka, while Hamburg is pushing to support new technologies and solutions not only in established industries, but also creates new clusters to support fast-growing verticals.

On the occasion of the anniversary delegation visit from Osaka to Hamburg, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, the Impact Hub Hamburg, Hamburg Invest and Japamburg are hosting this joint Startup Dialogue to enable discussion on technology innovation in both cities, opportunities for collaboration and chances for market entry.
