The German Consulate General Osaka-Kobe, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (AHK Japan) and the Japanese-German Business Association (DJW) are pleased to invite you to our next “German Economic Roundtable” networking event.
As you may have already booked a flight to escape the coming heat, our topic this time will be recent developments surrounding airports in Kansai: As reported in the news, both KIX and ITAMI were partly privatized in 2016, by selling a 44-year operations concession to a consortium led by ORIX and the French VINCI Group. With a price tag of about 17 billion EUR, this was one of the biggest PFI-transactions in Japan to date. The newly formed company KANSAI AIRPORTS subsequently also took over the operations of Kobe Airport, from April 2018.
- Gregory Jamet, Corporate Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer (COO - Aeronautical) at Kansai Airports, who will present his company’s current status and future strategy.
- Minoru Fukudome, General Manager Sales West & Central Japan at Lufthansa Group, will present the “Lufthansa Group in Japan” with a focus on business activities in the Kansai Region.
