Together with DoKomi, we invite our DJW members and interested business representatives to join us for our DJW Kai. Over the past 15 years, DoKomi has evolved into the most-visited and most-trending convention for Japanese pop culture in Germany, focusing on anime, manga, cosplay, games, fashion, music, and food. DJW is happy to cooperate with our member and further explore the potential of a joint and fruitful collaboration.
For the fifth time, our joint event is taking place – a clear testament to the tradition and success of the partnership between DoKomi and DJW! As a central platform for networking among German-Japanese enthusiasts, businesses, and talents, our event in 2025 will once again focus on innovation, idea exchange, and inspiring discussions. Regular gatherings like the DJW Gogo no Kai are crucial for building sustainable partnerships that extend far beyond cultural and business boundaries. Together, we create spaces where ideas, visions, and experiences are shared – and where new collaborations can emerge.
This year, we will highlight a topic that is highly relevant not only to our members but also to a broad audience: turning one’s hobby into a career and making a living from it. How does one successfully transform passion and expertise into a thriving profession? What role do employers play in supporting and fostering individual career fulfillment? What specific competencies, strategies, and implementation opportunities exist in the German-Japanese context to pave the way for success, and what challenges might arise?
For employers, supporting individual passion not only opens new avenues for securing skilled talent but also unlocks innovation potential. People who turn their passion into a profession bring intrinsic motivation, high creativity, and exceptional problem-solving skills – valuable traits in a dynamic market environment. Especially in times of labor shortages and changing job markets, companies benefit from promoting unconventional career paths. Startups and established firms that actively support such talents strengthen both their capacity for innovation and their employer brand.
Look forward to exciting insights, practical examples from individuals who have successfully made the transition from passion to profession, and the opportunity to engage with experts and like-minded participants.
We are excited about your participation and another inspiring event that demonstrates how connections between Germany and Japan can turn creative and professional dreams into reality!
