Rainer Führes has been serving as Managing Director of Canon Deutschland since January 2014. His vision is to position Canon Deutschland as a leading company in the digital transformation. Prior to becoming Managing Director of Canon Deutschland, Rainer Führes held various positions in the company in which he helped to shape the Canon organization. Between 2001 and 2014 Rainer has held various Senior Management roles in Canon’s European headquarters in Amsterdam and London. Amongst others he has lead the Emerging Markets Business Unit to oversee Canon’s expansion in Russia, the Middle East and Africa. Since 2009 Rainer was chief of Consumer Imaging Group managing Canon’s European Camera and Inkjet Printer business. After moving to the German headquarters in 2014, he merged the Consumer division into the actual DACH (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) organization. Since 2015, Rainer Führes has also been President of the German Association of the Photographic Industry.
