DJW members Dr. Rolf Schlunze and Silvia Lawrence would like to invite you to contribute to the DJW Working Group "Intercultural Management".
Due to globalization and corona crisis we are witnessing an increase of virtual intercultural teams (VITs). Bridging German-Japanese relations, DJW members are confronted with challenges of trust building in digitalizing world. Obviously knowledge achievement on trust building, cultural synergy and innovation creation is important to reach intercultural competence in VITs. Not only the set of personal qualities, attitudes, skills and knowledge but empathy, displaying respect, being nonjudgmental, being tolerant of ambiguity and managing good relations makes our on-site and virtual intercultural teams successful.
Effective intercultural communication is an outcome of intercultural competence. We are seeking for good exchange and teamwork practices. All members are invited to discuss in the forthcoming meeting a) why our working space can be perceived as a space for an emerging learning community, and b) how synergetic communication processes provide opportunities creating new spaces for our innovative community? After a kick-off presentation we will discuss these questions.
Agile members are invited to learn from each other in our focus group. Come to our Workspace Intercultural Management and discuss with us on Thursday, 1. December 2022 for one hour from 11 am CET / 7 pm JST.
You can join the meeting by clicking the link on Workspace Intercultural in our Networking Hub or sign up for this event above so that you will receive the link to enter via e-mail.
Please note that participation is free of charge for DJW members. Non-members of DJW may attend up to two working group meetings free of charge. If you then would like to join further meetings, we invite you to explore the benefits of a DJW membership and join us as a member.
