Our client is a well known Japanese trading company. Their German branch is mainly active in the fields of chemicals/plastics, infrastructure/machinery, steel, information technology and logistics. For their Risk Management Department the company is currently searching for a candidate to fill the position of (Junior) Credit Analyst (m/f/d).

TASKS
+ Assessment of credit/market/country and investment risk for the business in Germany as well as for the offices in the regions Europe as well as Middle East, Africa, and affiliated companies
Quantitative and qualitative analysis and assessment of the risk profile of business partners
+ Advising and instructing departments and making recommendations to department heads on decisions regarding the application of credit lines, long-short limits, and investment projects
+ Discussions with the business partners and credit agencies on site to obtain the information necessary for the risk assessment
+ Monitoring overdue and overdrawn credit positions as well as long/short positions, investigating causes, advising, and instructing on necessary measures and precautions, and reporting to management
+ Negotiating with debtors, insurers, lawyers, insolvency practitioners, bankruptcy trustees and the court to collect claims
+ Assisting in the management of sudden negative risk events
+ Conduct internal seminars or other training to improve risk management understanding in business departments

+ Fluent Japanese language skills are mandatory
+ Very good written and spoken English
+ Successfully completed studies in the field of economics and/or finance
+ Professional experience in the field of risk management (B2B), ideally with internationally operating companies, commercial/investment banks, or credit insurers
+ Affinity for numbers and analytical understanding, especially in the assessment of consolidated financial statements
+ Knowledge of international trade practice (Incoterms, payment terms, etc.)
+ Experience in insolvency law, requesting collateral and collecting debts
+ Basic knowledge of corporate/project finance
+ General basic knowledge of international macroeconomics
+ Good MS Office user skills
+ Very good communication skills and self-confident appearance
+ A high degree of initiative and commitment
+ Quick perception, as well as an independent, structured and goal-oriented way of working
+ Proactive approach to planning, executing, auditing, and taking action
+ A high degree of team spirit, responsibility, and reliability
