ワシントンD.C生まれのスターリン・エルメンドルフは日本に憧れ2001年から徳島県海部郡に3年間住む。その時に衝撃を受けた美しい景色に心打たれ写真家を志すことになる。
2004年アメリカに帰国後、ワシントンD.C.にて会社設立。
大型ホテル、住宅、インテリア竣工撮影、人物、プロダクト撮影を開始。
その後日本人との結婚をきっかけに日本へ再移住。
妻のエルメンドルフ久美子と共に2012年事務所を日本に移転、大阪市にて事務所設立。
竣工写真撮影をメインに、ドローン撮影もスタートする。
大阪では大正区にある町工場を大正区役所や工場のサポートで撮影を実現し、展示会「大正 Power」を開催。
2017年6月、東京都港区に事務所移転。
エルメンドルフ久美子の地元である島根県出雲市の観光大使として写真、映像撮影、写真提供、東京外国人記者クラブにて出雲の写真展示会「Land of Clouds」を開催する。
日本ではROLEX、BVLGARIの専属竣工撮影カメラマンとして活動。
カール・ツァイス株式会社、富士フィルムより機材提供を受けアンバサダーとして活躍。
2022年3月　ベルリンに事務所移転。

Born in Washington, D.C., Stirling Elmendorf was drawn to Japan and lived in Kaifu-gun, Tokushima Prefecture for three years from 2001, where the beautiful culture and scenery inspired him to become a photographer.
In 2004, he returned to the U.S. and established his own photographic company in Washington, D.C. He specialized in photographing large hotels, residences, interiors and portraits.
In 2011, he moved back to Japan after marrying his Japanese wife.
In early 2012, he and his wife Kumiko Elmendorf established an office in Osaka.
He continued to shoot mainly architecture and interior design photography, as well as drone photography, video production, music composition, portraits, and product photography.
In Osaka, with the support of the Taisho Ward Office and factories, they toured and photographed Taisho factories and created a “Taisho Power” exhibition at Fujifilm Gallery.
As a tourism ambassador for Kumiko Elmendorf's hometown, Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, he created multimedia artwork to donate to the prefecture, and held multiple exhibitions of Izumo photos at the Tokyo Foreign Correspondents' Club.
In June 2017, they moved their office to Minato-ku, Tokyo.
In Japan, he worked as the exclusive interior design photographer for ROLEX and BVLGARI boutiques.
He was also a brand ambassador for both Fujifilm and Carl Zeiss.
March 2022: Moved office to Berlin.
