A recruiting company is looking for a Managing director Japan on behalf of a client. The client is a German manufacturing company with worldwide presence and whose portfolio includes machinery, packaging machines, and injection molds. The legal entity in Japan is seeking for Managing Director who will build the organization and operation which can grow further to develop business. The position is based in Kobe. Tasks:
· Co-manage the Japan business together with the Legal Rep. MD, through developing strategies with the German headquarters and creating a country operation that aligns with the growth

· Bring efficiency and proactive management of the Japanese entity, and improvement in process and customer management

· Manage organisational and administrational matters, including finance, IT, operations process, HR, planning and sales operation

· Bridge and establish transparent communication channel to Germany to establish better co-operative collaboration

· Support sales and customer management activities to build a partner-like relationships with customers

· Establish and develop a team spirit across the company
Anforderungen
You bring at least 5 years’ experience in managing trading or sales operation of B2B products; and good understanding of customer care and turnover management of imported goods. Ideally, you have some background from internal sales, or customer service; and have previous experiences with European or American companies. You are a trustworthy, structured, and decisive individual, with excellent Japanese and English skills both verbally and written.
