"Global-Scale Companies Dealing with BREXIT and Shifting World Policies – Experiences and Expectations on Japanese and German Side"
Breathlessly, the world anticipates various major changes from the shift of politics announced by American President Donald Trump. At the same time, the British Parliament passed the BREXIT bill paving the way for the government to trigger Article 50 so the UK can leave the European Union. Prime Minister May pursues a “hard” BREXIT which includes giving up full access to the single market and full access of the customs union along with the EU. The consequences for Great Britain are expected to severely influence its economic future; those political developments will without doubt affect German and Japanese companies with relation to UK, continental Europe and Asia as well.
What effects will those developments have on economic developments in the EU and Japan? What consequences will be drawn by companies based in the UK or with European headquarters in London including Japanese companies? Our speakers are going to shed light on this topic from different perspectives.
