On behalf of its client, one of the DJW member recruiting companies is looking for a HR Manager for a German global player (m/f) based in Miyagi/ Japan.

Their client is one of the world's largest manufacturers of cleaning equipment with approximately 11.000 employees in over 60 countries and an innovative product line for industrial, professional and private customers alike. With 80% of all products being younger than four years, research and development are among the most important factors contributing to a regular double digit growth across all continents. Constant investments in quality, marketing, and design as well as high involvement in sports and the communities of operation make this company a well-known brand and a most attractive employer to work for.

Due to its continuing sound double digit growth, our client is currently looking for an HR Manager who provides a comprehensive HR support to the Japanese entity in Sendai. As such, this position focuses on HR topics along the entire HR management cycle (recruitment – development – leadership), in order to help the organization achieve its goals and objectives through modern HR Management instruments. 

This versatile position will therefore encompass a wide spectrum of responsibilities for the currently around 320 employees, including the development of HR procedures, personnel evaluation systems and a compensation system, as well as the organization and conduct of internal staff trainings. One of the main tasks will also be the management of recruitment activities, mainly for mid-career professionals and new university graduates. The position will have close communication with the HR Department at the German head office, in order to understand and implement the company's global business strategy. It will be supported by a team of five and will report directly to the TOP Management in Japan.

Anforderungen/ 資格:

As the “perfect candidate” you should be highly motivated and success oriented with a university degree related to HR Management, Law, Business, Psychology or the like. In addition this challenging position requires at least three to five years of relevant professional experience in the field of human resources. Fluency in Japanese and a high level of English is required due to the international exposure of the position. A thorough process orientation in combination with intercultural sensibility and a highly integrative personality will finally be important assets to succeed in this exciting vacancy.
